The Coalition Government has stated its aim of making Britain’s society more family friendly, but it has also committed itself to a programme of far-reaching spending cuts.

Following the emergency Budget and the Spending Review there are concerns that families (particularly those on low incomes) are bearing the brunt of cuts to the welfare budget.
